The Land and Its People
About Tabeeah
Al-Tabee'ah (الطبيعة) means "nature" in Arabic -- both the natural world around us and our innate human nature. Tabeeah Services was founded on the belief that healing happens when we return to our fitrah (فطرة) -- our original, God-given disposition.
Our approach is inspired by Aliya Karmali-Esmail's landscape architecture thesis, which reimagined the 80-kilometre pilgrimage route from Najaf to Karbala as a series of healing gardens. Just as that journey transforms barren land into spaces of rest and renewal, therapy transforms inner landscapes through intentional care.
We integrate Islamic wisdom traditions -- the science of the nafs (نفس), the practice of muhasaba (محاسبة), and the cultivation of taqwa (تقوى) -- with evidence-based Western modalities. This is not about choosing between faith and science, but recognizing that both illuminate the path to wholeness.
